About The Space
Unique location in the village. This lovely old Dutch workers cottage has great character • 6-min walk (550 m) to the Blue Flag sandy beach, dunes or beautiful 346 ha woods • Private terrace • Fully equipped and stocked kitchen • Extremely safe neighbourhood • 3-km from the centre of Burgh-Haamstede.
At the front, the cottage looks onto a historic village meadow that changes beautifully with the seasons. At the back, there’s a private terrace that catches the sun through most of the day—perfect for outdoor meals or a quiet moment with a book. Though modest in size, the house has a warm and lived-in charm, shaped by its history and the people who’ve spent time there. It's a place to unwind, with the beach, dunes, and forest all just a few minutes' walk away.
A Brief History
A 19th-century farm worker’s cottage that has been in our family for over 100 years. The house still retains many original features, including a traditional bedstede (converted into a display cabinet), Delft tiles, and various artworks collected over the years. The front overlooks an ancient village 'meadow' and the back garden has a sunny terrace.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the house, which is set up for two people. It includes a comfortable bedroom, a cosy living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a sunny private terrace at the back. The house is part of our Tiny Estate, and while a side path is shared between the houses, each has its own private outdoor space. The setting is quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing and unwinding.
